The Indraprastha College for Women of Delhi University and the Institute of Iranian Studies of the Georg-August-Universität Göttingen organized the workshop “Sufism in South Asia: a view from Delhi”, taking place January 6 – 8, 2020. The project Namaste+ funds the participation of Göttingen students traveling to Delhi and of Prof. Eva Orthmann, head of the Institute of Iranian Studies. This Workshop has been designed under the auspices of the NAMASTE+ “A New Passage to India – Indo-German HEI Cooperation”. The Workshop is devoted to introducing an integrated approach to Sufism through close reading of medieval texts and observing significant Sufi spaces in the dargahs (Sufi shrines) located in Delhi.
